The home study is the basic document which enables you to adopt a child. Since its inception, the Datz Foundation has completed thousands of home studies for families living in VA, DC, and MD

The Datz Foundation is authorized to accept the legal custody of children and place them in adoptive homes. In addition, the Foundation works with adoption resources throughout the United States and can help you locate an adoptable child.
In some cases it is possible to retrieve documents from closed client files. The procedure is as follows:

Email your request to datz@patriot.net. Be as specific as possible about name(s), state, and year.

We will reply within forty-eight hours and advise you whether we have the file and the requested document. In some cases, files and individual documents have been purged.

If we indicate that the document is available, remit a check for $50 to the Datz Foundation. We will then provide you with a copy of the requested document.
We are sometimes asked by adult adoptees (over the age of eighteen) in whose adoptions we participated to search for their birthparents. Likewise, we are sometimes asked by birthparents who placed children in adoption to help locate their children once they reach adulthood.
